Dead by Daylight announces collaboration with Tokyo Ghoul

Behavior Interactive has announced that the game Dead by Daylight will add Ken Kaneki Tokyo Ghoul series as a playable character on April 2, 2025. The character from Sui Ishida will join the game as a killer, and will have a unique moveset.

Kaneki can damage survivors by transforming a Dull Totem into a Hex: Totem . This power temporarily hinders survivors when hit by a basic attack. They also gain a token , up to a maximum of eight, whenever they are hit, which increases Kaneki's speed.

When Kaneki hooks survivors for the first time, he also earns a token. Each token earned will block windows and vertical panels for a period of time.

The Dead by Daylight franchise has already featured other collaborations with franchises such as Silent Hill , The Ring,  Castlevania , among others.

About Tokyo Ghoul

Sui Ishida 's manga was serialized from 2011 to 2014 in Shueisha 's Weekly Young Jump . The author released the sequel, Tokyo Ghoul:re , from 2014 until July 2018. The story was so successful that it gained an anime in 2014.

However, the appearance of an attractive woman named Rize Kamishiro shatters his loneliness when she asks him out on a date. While walking home with Rize, Kaneki discovers that she is not as kind as she first seemed, and that she has taken him with sinister intentions.

After a tragic fight, he wakes up in a hospital and discovers that doctors saved his life by transplanting the organs of the now-deceased Rize into his own. Kaneki's body begins to change in horrifying ways, and he transforms into a human-ghoul hybrid.

As he embarks on his terrifying new journey, Kaneki clings to his humanity in the evolving bloody conflict between society's new monsters and the government agents who hunt them.
