Square Enix has announced that the manga Dead Mount Death Play , by Ryohgo Narita and Shinta Fujimoto premiere in April 2023.

Manabu Ono (Sword Art Online: Alicization, Saki, Sakura Wars the Animation) is directing the anime and is also supervising the series scripts while writing them alongside Yukie Sugiwara (Overlord, The Vampire Dies in No Time) and Yoriko Tomita. Takaharu Oukuma (Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater) is credited as “subdirector,” while Yoshiki Kitai is credited as assistant director. GEEK TOYS is animating the series. Hisashi Abe (Chobits, Gunslinger Girl, Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System) is designing the characters. Takayuki Yamaguchi is the sound director. HALF H·P STUDIO is credited with sound production. FMF (Yuki Nara, eba, Kana Utatane) is composing the music.
Synopsis
From the same author of Baccano! and Durarara!! A necromancer called the 'Corpse King' is fighting against the church, trying to subjugate it. But, using his last vestige of power against the 'Calamity Destroyer', he is defeated, but his reincarnation magic is activated. Suddenly he is transported to the world of modern society, taking the body of a child named Polka Shinoyama. What will happen to him in this world?
Narita and Fujimoto then launched the manga in Square Enix's Young Gangan magazine in October 2017. Square Enix subsequently published the ninth volume of the manga on April 25th, and will publish the 10th volume on November 25th.
