Ufotable and Aniplex continue to fuel anticipation for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle with a new promotional image. This time, the spotlight is on none other than Tengen Uzui , the Sound Hashira and perennial fan favorite.

However, Tengen stood out for his mastery of the Sound Breathing style, a unique technique that uses rapid movements and loud sounds to confuse and attack enemies. Thus, he officially retired at the end of the Entertainment District arc. Since then, he's worn his hair down and sported a new eyepatch, adopting a different but equally striking look.
Although he's left the Demon Slayer Corps, Tengen continues to appear as a supporting character and is currently featured in the promotional material for the highly anticipated Infinity Castle. This new art is part of a special set featuring the other Hashira, released by Aniplex and Ufotable, as part of the 100-day to the film's release in Japan, scheduled for July 18, 2025. In the United States and Canada, the premiere will take place on September 12. It's worth noting that the film will be the first in a trilogy adapting the manga's Infinity Castle arc.
Will Infinity Castle surpass Mugen Train?
Demon Slayer arguably established itself as one of the most popular and profitable anime franchises today. In 2020, the film Mugen Train surprisingly surpassed $500 million at the global box office, becoming the highest-grossing Japanese film in history—even amid the pandemic.
Fans are now wondering: Will Infinity Castle be able to repeat or surpass this feat? After all, the two subsequent films—To the Swordsmith Village and To the Hashira Training—grossed significantly less, grossing $56 million and $44.4 million, respectively.
Meanwhile, Aniplex is investing heavily in promoting Infinity Castle. In addition to new artwork, the production company is collaborating with Gyoda in Saitama to create a 28,000-square-meter rice art of Tanjiro, attempting to break a world record. Therefore, expectations for the film are higher than ever.
