Kanao Tsuyuri hasn't yet shown her true abilities in the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba , but the character managed to gain considerable popularity among fans early on. So Shueisha released a new promotional video in celebration of Kanao's birthday.

Kanao's birthday is May 19th, so the official Shonen Jump released this Demon Slayer video in honor of the character. Featuring panels from the manga, the video briefly summarizes Kanao's story. It also shows her interacting with Tanjiro and meeting Shinobu and Kanae , who are also very important characters in her journey.
Synopsis:
After defeating Upper Moon 6 in the Entertainment District, Tanjiro must travel to the Blacksmith Village to forge a new sword, as his old one has been damaged. However, along the way, he encounters new demons sent by Muzan, the main villain, with a mission to kill the blacksmiths. Without the blacksmiths, the hunters will have no swords to fight the demons. So Tanjiro and his friends must fight the demons of the Upper Moons again to stop them.
Thus, the first season of Demon Slayer premiered in April 2019 , becoming a hit with the film. The second season premiered on December 5, 2021, in Japan. Finally, the third season premiered on Crunchyroll following the release of the film To the Swordsmith Village – World Tour on February 2 in Japan.
