It's been revealed that Demon Slayer: Mugen Train has surpassed Mortal Kombat at the box office . According to Box Office Mojo, the film grossed approximately $9.5 million (approximately R$52 million) on its first day of release in the United States.

Thus passing Mortal Kombat , which grossed around US$9.03 million (R$49.45 million). Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train was shown in 1598 theaters on Friday, while Mortal Kombat was shown in 3073 theaters.

The sequel to the hit 2019 anime Infinity Train . The first season had 26 episodes, adapting up to chapter 53 (the beginning of volume 7) of the manga. Mugen Train broke many records and became the highest-grossing film of all time in Japan.

The film will finally hit Brazilian theaters via Cinemark, Cinépolis, and UCI Cinemas. A release date has not yet been set.
