Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is about to enter its most intense phase. The first film in the Infinity Castle premieres in Japan on July 18, 2025, marking the beginning of the anime . Subsequently, the film will arrive in US and Canadian theaters on September 12, and is expected to be released in Brazil the same week.

Which arc will be adapted in Demon Slayer: Castle Infinite?

The trilogy is expected to adapt the last two arcs of the manga: Castle Infinity and Countdown to Sunrise , totaling 66 chapters. According to rumors, the first film will cover the events of chapters 140 to 163, highlighting two exciting battles: Akaza vs. Tanjiro and Giyu , and Doma vs. Kanao and Inosuke .

Although the confrontations happen simultaneously in the manga, the marketing has focused entirely on the rematch against Akaza. After all, the villain is responsible for the death of Rengoku, the beloved Flame Hashira. Furthermore, it's likely that the film will include flashbacks with never-before-seen scenes of Rengoku, reinforcing the emotional weight of the fight. Just as with Mugen Train , the intention is to impact the audience with a memorable farewell.

Expectations for upcoming films

Although not yet confirmed, all indications suggest that the films will also adapt the complete final arc, including the battle against Muzan Kibutsuji . However, just as with Mugen Train , Ufotable may release the television versions later, with additional scenes and pacing adjustments.

Currently, Toho and Sony expect the new film to surpass Mugen Train at the box office. Undeniably, Demon Slayer's global success has grown since the pandemic, and now the international hype is higher than ever.
