Mario anime fanpage ran a poll last week, asking its followers who the best protagonist of the new generation of anime is. So his poll had more than 65 thousand votes, with Tanjiro Kamado from Demon Slayer as the winner. In addition, the voting list included the protagonists of Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, My Hero Academia, Black Clover and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. Right after Tanjiro, Asta was ranked second.
Synopsis:
After defeating Upper Moon 6 in the Entertainment District, Tanjiro needs to go to the blacksmith village to forge a new sword, as his old weapon was damaged. However, on the way, he comes across new demons sent by Muzan, the main villain of the plot, with the mission of killing the blacksmiths. Without blacksmiths, hunters will have no swords to fight demons. So Tanjiro and his friends have to fight the demons of the Upper Moons again to stop them.
Therefore, the 1st season of Demon Slayer premiered in April 2019 , making the film a successful phenomenon. The second season premiered on December 5, 2021 in Japan. Finally, the 3rd season premiered on Crunchyroll after the release of the film To the Swordsmith Village – World Tour on February 2 in Japan.
