Soon after returning to the fight, Muichiro awakened a mark on his face that made him stronger and lighter to the point of surprising Gyokko . Just like Muichiro, a special mark also appeared on Tanjiro's face when he faced Gyutaro and Hantengu . Originally, this mark appears on an Onis Terminator, which has its heart rate and body temperature elevated to superhuman levels.

A situation like this only happens when the exterminator is in an intense life or death situation, as was the case with Muichiro and Tanjiro. The manga reveals that the other Hashiras are also capable of awakening this mark, but this only happens in the next arcs of the series.

Synopsis:

After defeating Upper Moon 6 in the Entertainment District, Tanjiro needs to go to the blacksmith village to forge a new sword, as his old weapon was damaged. However, on the way, he comes across new demons sent by Muzan, the main villain of the plot, with the mission of killing the blacksmiths. Without blacksmiths, hunters will have no swords to fight demons. So Tanjiro and his friends have to fight the demons of the Upper Moons again to stop them.

Therefore, the 1st season of Demon Slayer premiered in April 2019 , making the film a successful phenomenon. The second season premiered on December 5, 2021 in Japan. Finally, the 3rd season premiered on Crunchyroll after the release of the film To the Swordsmith Village – World Tour on February 2 in Japan.
