Actor Denzel Washington may be being considered for the role of John Stewart , aka Green Lantern, in the Batman-Superman film. Many of the rumors about this project have proven true. But this time, El Mayimbe, the man responsible for all the scoops on the film so far, has confirmed that no, we won't be playing Denzel Washington as Green Lantern. According to the reporter, the rumor is not only false but also pure nonsense.
This was another one of those cases where a completely unknown website confirms a rumor that it itself created, as was the case with Bryan Cranston for the role of Lex Luthor.
In the next DC film, Ben Affleck will play Batman and Henry Cavill will return as the Man of Steel. Gal Gadot will play Wonder Woman. Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, and Diane Lane will also return. The search for an actor to play Robin/Nightwing continues, and the villain Apocalypse may be part of the plot.
David Goyer and Zack Snyder wrote the screenplay, which Snyder will direct. The film hits theaters on July 17, 2015.
