The official website for the anime , titled Persona 3 The Movie #1 Spring of Birth, the first film in a trilogy, has received some updates. First, a new promotional trailer is being released on the site, showcasing details of the animation.

The official website has also updated the characters. The official premiere of the film is scheduled for November 23rd throughout Japan. The cast remains the same as the original PlayStation 2 game. Noriaki Akitaya (Bakuman 1,2,3) is in charge.

Synopsis: The story of Persona 3 takes place in a modern Japanese city, built and financed by the Kirijo Corporation . Due to past events, there is a "Dark Hour," a period of time that exists between midnight and the next day that only a few conscious people can see; those who are not conscious are frozen in coffins. The Dark Hour brings about a curve in reality; Gekkoukan High School, where most characters attend school during the day, becomes a huge, labyrinthine tower called "Tartarus" at night. This tower is inhabited by beasts called Shadows that roam and protect certain areas, preying on the minds of those still conscious during this time, leaving their victims in a near-catatonic state outside of the Dark Hour.
