The official website for the Detective Conan anime announced that “ Moonlight Sonata Murder Case ”, the 11th episode of the series, will receive a remake in the form of a two-part special, which will premiere respectively on March 6th and 13th.
The site previously hinted that a remake of a “ legendary episode ” was in the plans.
An image for the remake was released, which in this case is a collage made up of scenes from the original episode.
Pianist Aimi Kobayashi will perform Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14, which will therefore be dedicated to the remake. Additionally, the site is running a social media campaign for viewers to submit their own attempts at playing the sonata.
The original episode in question aired on April 8, 1996.
