The official website for the Detective Conan anime has announced that “ Moonlight Sonata Murder Case ,” the 11th episode of the series, will be remade as a two-part special, which will premiere on March 6th and 13th, respectively.
The site previously hinted that a remake of a “ legendary episode ” was in the works.
An image for the remake was released, which is a collage made up of scenes from the original episode.
Pianist Aimi Kobayashi will perform Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14, which will be dedicated to the remake. Additionally, the website is running a social media campaign inviting viewers to submit their own attempts at playing the sonata.
The original episode in question aired on April 8, 1996.
