The new live action film Detective Pikachu was not left behind and arrived with everything in this 2nd trailer promoting Mewtwo.

Based on the game franchise and anime , the film featuring the pocket pets will premiere in theaters on May 10, 2019.

The film is produced by Legendary Entertainment with Ryan Reynolds voicing Pikachu, Justice Smith (The Get Down), Kathryn Newton (Big Little Lies), Ken Watanabe (Godzilla) and Rita Ora (Fifty Shades Freed). The film is directed by Rob Letterman (Shark Tale, Monsters vs. Aliens, Goosebumps) and written by Nicole Perlman and Alex Hirsch (Guardians of the Galaxy and Gravity Falls).

In the trailer we can see the first appearance of the legendary Mewtwo.

Finally, distribution in Japan is entirely by TOHO, while in the rest of the world it will be distributed by Universal Pictures.
