The official website for the new season of "Digimon," arriving in 2015, has been updated and now features its first promotional image. This image shows the detailed designs of the characters in the new season. According to the official website, the title has also been revealed: Digimon Adventure Tri .
Atsuya UKI (Tsuritama, Cencoroll) is designing the characters, Yuuko Kakihara (Heaven's Lost Property) is supervising the scripts, and Keitaro Motonaga ( Magic Knight Rayearth ) will be directing the series.
The announcement of the new series was made in Japan at the beginning of August. The team stated that the characters will return next spring in Japan. The event also announced that the Blu-ray box set of the first season, with 54 episodes, will be released. The first copies of the box set will include a new special Drama CD, arriving in March 2015. The Blu-ray films from 1998-2006 will be released on January 9, 2015.
The cast of the first Digimon Adventure appeared at the event, and Koji Wada sang the classic opening theme "Butterfly" live.
