The production team for “Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning”, the new film that is part of the Digimon Adventure 02 anime, revealed a new trailer and poster this Sunday (30), during the “Digi Fes 2023” event.

The video features the original Digimon Adventure 02 opening theme song, “Target Akai Shōgeki”, performed by Kouji Wada.
The film arrives in Japan from October 27th.
The film's story takes place in February 2012, shortly after the events of the anime Digimon Adventure tri. and the film Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna. The film will feature the main character, Daisuke Motomiya (known as Davis Motomiya in English), and other main characters who are 20 years old.
Producer Yōsuke Kinoshita (responsible for Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna) previously emphasized that the new film will focus on characters from Digimon Adventure 02. He further explained that the team wanted to tell a story about Daisuke and his friends because they have a different appeal compared to Taichi/Tai and his friends from the first Digimon Adventure anime.
