In celebration of its 15th anniversary, the famous Digimon that debuted here in Brazil in the 2000s received new features at an event. The team said that the characters will return next spring in Japan.
The announcement accompanies a video that was shown at the end of the event showing 17-year-old main character Taichi (TAI) at school with his Digimon partner, Agumon. Also at the event, it was revealed through a pamphlet that the series will feature a completely new story and is already in production.
The event also announced that the Blu-ray Box of the first season of 54 episodes will be released. The first copies of the box set will include a special new drama CD, arriving in March 2015. The Blu-ray films from 1998-2006 will be released on January 9, 2015. This box set includes a bonus Blu-ray disc. 3D ray.
The cast of the first Digimon Adventure appeared at the event, as did Koji Wada who sang the classic opening theme “Butter-fly” live.
