Following the successful release of Digimon Adventure tri., a film that continues the classic Digimon , its sequel, titled Digimon Adventure tri. Ketsui (Determination), was announced, with a release date of March 12, 2016, coinciding with winter.
The cast made the announcement while celebrating the release of the first film, Digimon Adventure tri. Saikai, which opened on Saturday. The film crew had previously held a preview screening of the film on October 23, followed by a special live stream on NicoNico on October 25. The Blu-ray disc for the first part initially went on sale in theaters on Saturday, and iTunes also sold the first part on the same day.
The Blu-ray and DVD retail releases will go on sale on December 18th.
