For those who do not know, Digimon (abbreviation of digital Monsters ) is a Japanese franchise created by Bandai in 1997. Thus, starting as a virtual pet similar to Tamagotchi, the series expanded to anime, manga, card games and, of course, Video games. Often compared to Pokémon, Digimon has conquered his unique space thanks to the system of dynamic evolution and deep stories.
However, the Anime Digimon Adventure , released in 1999, was the kickoff for the success of the franchise. The plot follows seven children transported to Digital World, where they make friends with creatures called Digimon, designed to protect their world from evil forces. Since then, the series has gained adaptations, spin-offs and a legion of faithful fans.
In an exclusive interview during the New York Comic Con in 2024, Hiromi Seki , the franchise producer, shared details about the origins of Digimon, his unique evolution system and the plans for the future, including the long -awaited Adventure Beyond .
