This Friday (23) through the “ Hollywood Reporter ”, we had confirmation of the direction and script, including Destin Daniel Cretton , known for his work on “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”.
Therefore, Masashi Kishimoto commented on the choice of director:
“When I found out about Destin's involvement, I had just seen his action blockbuster and thought he would be the perfect director for 'Naruto'”
“After enjoying his other films and understanding that his specialty is creating solid dramas about people, I was convinced that there is no other director for 'Naruto'. By really getting to know Destin, I found him to be an open-minded director who was willing to accept my suggestions and I felt strongly that we would be able to cooperate together in the production process.”
First published in Japan in 1999, the “Naruto” manga quickly established itself as a global cultural phenomenon, garnering more than 250 million copies sold in more than 60 countries and territories . The anime adaptation also solidified its status as one of the most popular series across the world.
