The Walt Disney Company and WEBTOON Entertainment have formalized their strategic agreements and confirmed the advancement of a new digital comic book platform. With this, WEBTOON will be responsible for developing and operating the service, which will bring together current and classic titles from Disney 's vast catalog .

The project includes decades of stories from Marvel, Star Wars , and 20th Century Studios. In addition, some original series from WEBTOON itself will also be part of the launch. The proposal relies on the vertical and mobile-first format, already popular among webcomic readers.

This move follows up on the announcement made in September and reinforces the adaptation of traditional comics to the continuous scrolling model. Meanwhile, the companies are also developing original webcomics based on Disney franchises for global release.

Therefore, the partnership signals a new step for the digital consumption of comics. In this way, fans of anime, manga, and pop culture can expect classic content and new formats gathered in one place.
