The official website for the Dorohedoro has released new information for fans of the series. Additionally, a new promotional image has been shared on social media.
Dorohedoro anime will take place in 2025, animated by studio MAPPA (Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan). Yuichiro Hayashi , director of the first season, returns to direct the new season of the anime.
Synopsis
In a desolate city known only as "the Hole," a clan of sorcerers has been taking people off the streets to use as guinea pigs in experiments with the dark arts. In a dark alley, Nikaido found Caiman, a man with a reptile's head and a severe case of amnesia. To try and undo the spell, they hunt down and kill the Sorcerers of the Hole, hoping that eventually they will kill the right one. But when En, the Sorcerer chief, receives news that a lizard-man is killing his people, he sends a team of "cleaners" to the Hole, starting a war between two worlds .
Finally, the first season of the anime premiered on Netflix in January 2020 with 12 episodes. Netflix streamed the series outside of Japan in May 2020.
