Episode 2 Recap
The previous episode begins with a flashback where Senku explains how they produced beer to sustain the crew during the 70-day crossing to America. While some enjoyed themselves in the makeshift casino and enjoyed alcoholic beverages, Senku highlighted the importance of keeping some members sober.
Ryusei Nanami, on the other hand, insisted that everyone participate in the moment. He asked Francois to prepare non-alcoholic drinks, ensuring that no one was left out. Together with the scientific team, Francois created special cocktails for Suika, Tsukasa Shishio, Gen Asagiri, Kohaku and Senku himself.
After the fun, Tsukasa organized training for the ship's fighters and decided to de-petrify Hyoga, an old enemy, believing he could contribute. Hyoga agreed, as long as Homura Momiji and Moz were also released.
During training, Senku detailed how they used GPS to navigate to America. A transmitter on the home island in Japan sent signals to the ship, allowing it to calculate its location based on the difference in weather and the height of the sun.
However, a storm made it difficult to see the sun, complicating navigation. Chrome then remembered the Viking “sunstone” and created his version with calcite, a mineral that splits light like a prism.
