Crunchyroll announced at Crunchyroll Expo the official trailer for season 2 of Dr. Stone , a new look, and a premiere date in January 2021.

Furthermore, the second season, titled Dr. Stone: Stone Wars, inspired by the manga by Boichi and Riichirou Inagaki, premieres in January 2021.
Synopsis
One fateful day, all of humanity was petrified by a blinding flash of light. After several millennia, high school student Taiju awakens to find himself lost in a world of statues. However, he is not alone! His science-loving friend Senku has been up and running for a few months, and he has a grand plan in mind – to kickstart civilization with the power of science!

Shinya Iino ( Made in Abyss ) directed the first season at TMS Entertainment . Yuichiro Kido ( 91 Days ) was in charge of the anime's composition and script, while Yuko Iwasa did the character design. Tatsuya Kato, Hiroaki Tsutsumi ( Anima Yell! ), and Yuki Kanesaka composed the soundtrack.
Finally, the manga by author Boichi and illustrator Riichiro Inagaki was launched in Shueisha 's Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2017, and currently has 16 volumes.
