The story revolves around Taiju Ooki , who experiences a massive catastrophe that affects all of humanity, turning them to stone. As the only survivors, it's up to Taiju and his brilliant friend, the scientist Senkuu , to bring humanity out of the Stone Age and back to the Modern Era.

However, the series is animated by the studio TMS Entertainment and directed by Shinya Iino (Assistant Director on Made in Abyss).
