Episode 2 Recap
The previous episode begins with a flashback where Senku explains how they brewed beer to sustain the crew during the 70-day crossing to America. While some enjoyed themselves in the makeshift casino and enjoyed alcoholic beverages, Senku emphasized the importance of keeping some members sober.
Ryusei Nanami, on the other hand, insisted that everyone participate in the moment. He asked Francois to prepare non-alcoholic drinks, ensuring no one was left out. Together with the science team, Francois created special cocktails for Suika, Tsukasa Shishio, Gen Asagiri, Kohaku, and Senku himself.
After the fun, Tsukasa organized training for the ship's fighters and decided to unpetrify Hyoga, a former enemy, believing he could contribute. Hyoga agreed, as long as Homura Momiji and Moz were also freed.
During training, Senku detailed how they used GPS to navigate to America. A transmitter on the home island in Japan sent signals to the ship, allowing it to calculate its location based on the time difference and the height of the sun.
However, a storm made it difficult to see the sun, complicating navigation. Chrome then remembered the Viking "sunstone" and created his own version using calcite, a mineral that splits light like a prism.
