Since his debut, fans have commented on the outcome of Dragon Ball Daima . Rumors and leaks indicate that the series will have a shorter duration compared to previous Dragon Ball . Now an official Hulu may have confirmed the date of the final episode: February 28, 2025.

To give you an idea, the original anime had 153 episodes, Dragon Ball Z had 291, Dragon Ball Super had 131, and even GT had 64 chapters. Daima 's short length suggests a more concise approach, with a clearly defined story from the start. The plot takes place in a specific period of the Dragon Ball , between the Buu saga and the events of the film Battle of Gods and the anime Super . As this phase precedes the introduction of Beerus, the narrative space was naturally limited.

Dragon Ball Daima brought important new features to the franchise's universe, including unprecedented origins of the Kais, Namekians and demons. Furthermore, it fulfilled the long-standing wish of many fans by introducing Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta into the canon. Despite the expected ending in episode 20, it is possible that this is just the end of the season and that a new sequence is to come.

However, the franchise still has a lot of material to explore. Dragon Ball Super manga presented new sagas after the tournament of power, paving the way for a continuation in the anime. Additionally, new films may emerge, as happened with Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero in 2022. Given Sony's growing interest in the anime market, it is likely that new projects will be announced soon.
