Check out the synopsis:

Fu tells them that Future Trunks is imprisoned in a place known as Prison Planet, which was built between universes. To free Future Trunks, they must gather the Dragon Balls and hope to engage in endless battles like never before. What is Fu's goal, and will Goku, Vegeta, and company be able to save Future Trunks? We'll have to find out when we watch Super Dragon Ball Heroes!

While there is still no official release date in Japan, Dragon Ball Heroes has already been adapted into other manga. Dragon Ball Heroes: Victory Mission, which began release in November 2012, is written and illustrated by Toyotarou and is currently on hiatus after 28 chapters, as the manga artist is now drawing Dragon Ball Super (Dragon Ball Chou).
