arc Dragon Ball Super after the excellent Future Trunks saga, which featured Goku as the villain. However, the latest episode had a revelation that shocked a large part of the audience. In the current episode number 80, the plan behind the "Survival of the Universes" saga was revealed, giving an incredible twist to the story.

Dragon Ball Super – Zen-Oh will destroy the losing universes
The new premise of Dragon Ball Super began when the protagonist convinced the "Zen-Oh" to organize a new martial arts tournament that, unlike previous ones, would bring all the universes to the center of the combat, thus finding the strongest fighters. Things got out of the hero's control, and his attitude became questionable when the two small but powerful gods accepted the idea, on the condition that they would destroy the losing universes.
From there, the story took a new turn. In the new episode, you'll learn about the evil plan behind it, where the real reason the Zen-Oh organized the tournament is revealed.
Speaking for both of them, the Grand Priest confessed that they were all brought together for a specific reason: their mortal ranks were out of balance. The Zen-Oh work by classifying universes into rankings based on the evolution of the inhabited worlds. Currently, Goku's Universe, number 7, is not doing very well, being the second worst, with an average of 38.18, surpassing only Universe 9, which has 1.86.
Angels spared from the extermination of the universes?
To restore the balance of the average, the Zen-Oh will destroy any universe that loses in battles. A highlight of the Dragon Ball Super episode was that universes 1, 5, 8, and 12 are exempt from the catastrophe because they have a high average. Furthermore, it was warned that not even the Gods of Destruction will be spared; they will be killed along with their respective universes. The angels, however, will be spared and relocated. Not even Beerus was spared.
