Featuring an asymmetrical gameplay style, The Breakers pits seven players against each other as survivors trying to escape an invader, who will now feature a powerful new form of Frieza. Additionally, the Ultra Instinct Transfer adds new defensive strategies to the game.
Golden Frieza expands challenges for players in Dragon Ball: The Breakers
The most impactful new addition to the DRAGON BALL: THE BREAKERS update is the inclusion of Golden Frieza, who arrives as an alternate form of the villain. Unlike his other transformations, this version significantly increases his speed and hunting ability, but reduces his health, making combat more strategic.
In addition to improved mobility, abilities and Ki Blasts have been reworked, allowing for new approaches to combating survivors. The mechanics encourage a more aggressive playstyle, exploiting the character's speed advantage without completely compromising their stamina. Furthermore, the villain joins other major antagonists from the franchise, solidifying The Breakers as an intense battleground within the Dragon Ball universe.
Transfer Ultra Instinct strengthens survivors
To balance the invader's threats, DRAGON BALL: THE BREAKERS Season 8 also introduces Ultra Instinct Transfer. This new feature allows players to trigger a targeted attack on a specific enemy or move toward the camera if there is no nearby target.
Additionally, Dragon Transformation temporarily activates special attacks, expanding survivors' strategies during combat. This new tool expands survival possibilities, making the game even more dynamic and challenging.
With these improvements, players have more strategic options to face the growing threat of invaders.
Expansion of the Dragon Ball universe in games
Dragon Ball: The Breakers is part of the Dragon Ball Xenoverse universe, featuring direct connections between the games. Thus, the new season reinforces the integration between the titles, offering new content for fans of the franchise.
The game is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, with compatibility for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Bandai Namco continues to invest in the development and expansion of the Dragon Ball universe in games, consolidating its role in the interactive entertainment scene.
