Synopsis:
The story begins with a 12-year-old boy named Dai (Fly) remembering a story told to him by his adoptive grandfather, the monster wizard Brass, about the defeat of the demon king Hadlar at the hands of a hero known as Avan. After Demon King Hadlar's defeat, all monsters were freed from their ill will and peace reigned supreme throughout the world again for ten years.
Finally, we follow young Dai's journey as he seeks to become a warrior on the island of monsters where he was born.
