Synopsis:

Long ago, the world was subjugated by the Dark Lord Hadlar, threatening its stability. However, a courageous swordsman emerged as the fearless hero who restored peace, along with his allies. Freed from the Dark Lord's tyranny, the monsters found refuge on Delmurin, a remote island in the vast South Sea. Dai, the only human on the island, lives in harmony among these fantastical creatures, but his serene existence is abruptly transformed by Hadlar's reemergence. Determined, Dai embarks on an epic quest to save the world, where he will meet new mentors, companions, and, above all, discover his own destiny: to explore unknown lands and rise as a true hero!

The latest anime adaptation manga premiered in October 2020. The anime's 100th and final episode aired in October 2022. Crunchyroll and Hulu streamed the series as the episodes were released in Japan.

Finally, the 37-volume manga was published in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1989 to 1996. The work previously inspired a 46-episode anime series that aired in 1991 and 1992, titled in Brazil "Fly o Pequeno Guerreiro", and three anime short films that opened in July 1991, March 1992 and July 1992.
