The official website for the Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru anime revealed this Sunday (19) a new look, in addition to its debut date. The anime will begin airing on July 3rd on Japanese TV, as part of the summer season.
“Sakura Hibiki is a normal high school girl with a voracious appetite. Noticing that her clothes are getting tighter as her waist increases, she decides to go to a nearby gym to sign up. There she meets a girl her age named Souryuuin Akemi.
Akemi, who has a fetish for muscles, tries to convince Hibiki to join the gym despite the high number of “Macho Men” there. When Machio, a handsome gym instructor, appears and unwittingly convinces her to join, Hibiki begins her quest for a good body.”

The manga by Yabako Sandrovich (story) and MAAM (art) is being adapted by studio Doga Kobo and has Mitsue Yamazaki as director, Fumihiko Shimo as responsible for the story and Ai Kikuchi as character designer. Yukari Hashimoto is responsible for the anime's music, while the opening theme is performed by Ai Fairouz and Kaito Ishikawa . Kaito Ishikawa is also on hand for the ending theme.
