With the announcement of the confirmed cast for the second season of Durarara!!, its trailer was released at a Dengeki Bunko Fall Festival event in Japan. Furthermore, the season will premiere on Japanese television in January 2015.
Most of the new team members are veterans from the first season of Durarara , except for Tomoyasu Fujise and Shuka .
The manga series Durarara!!, authored by Ryohgo Narita and illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda, has inspired numerous adaptations, including the anime series that premiered on TV in 2010 on Aniplex . Several video games have also been adapted into the series. This new anime is part of Durarara!!'s 10th anniversary celebration and covers the second arc of Ryohgo Narita's original series.
