Animation studio Kyoto Animation has announced the “Kyoto Animation 2025 New Works Announcement” event, where new anime for 2025 will be revealed. The studio will make the announcement on September 21, 2024, at 9:00 PM (Japan time), during a live broadcast on its official YouTube channel.

Voice actor Daisuke Ono (AIR and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) will narrate the event, which will take the form of a special program. The video only revealed the date and time of the announcement, without providing further details, leading to speculation about what projects the studio will reveal.
Known affectionately as KyoAni , the studio is responsible for iconic works such as Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu , Clannad, K-On!, Violet Evergarden , and others. However, despite the tragedy that struck the studio in 2019, when an arson attack took the lives of 36 people, Kyoto Animation has demonstrated resilience, continuing to deliver high-quality anime.
Finally, rumors point to a new season of Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon , further increasing fans' expectations.
