The 2024 eSports Brazil Awards announced the nominees for the popular and semi-popular categories, chosen by both the public and the specialized Super Jury. The event, now in its eighth edition, aims to recognize the biggest names in Brazilian esports, including players, casters, commentators, and content creators.

In a total of 22 categories, among the 24 existing, the nominees were announced in a live broadcast held on the 3rd, hosted by Nyvi Estephan, Camilota XP and Mariana Ayrez.

The awards ceremony has already opened voting for the next phase , where the public and experts will select the three finalists in each category. The popular vote, available on the official website, will decide the winners in some specific categories.

Award Highlights

Among the categories, "Betano's Fan Favorite" and "Best Streamer" are decided exclusively by popular vote, allowing fans to actively participate in choosing the winners. On the other hand, categories like "eSports Athlete of the Year" and "Best Athlete in the Inclusive Scene" are decided by a specialized jury, including names like Carol Bombshell, Jairo Foxer, and Fogueta. This ensures a balance between public opinion and the technical evaluation of experts.

Player1 Gaming Group CEO Leandro Valentim emphasized the event's importance to the esports community, stating that the 2024 livestream had a relaxed format to warm up the audience for the main ceremony. According to him, the community's active participation in choosing the winners makes this one of the most anticipated moments of the year.

Nominees in various eSports categories

Among the nominees for the award are big names in esports, such as FalleN , nominated as "Betano's Best Player" and "Best Counter-Strike Athlete" , and Aspas , nominated in categories such as " Best Valorant Athlete" . The diversity of sports is also a highlight, with awards for players in Counter-Strike, Fortnite, Free Fire, FIFA, Mobile Games, League of Legends, among others.

Additionally, inclusive categories have also gained ground, recognizing athletes and streamers from emerging and minority communities. Among the nominees in the inclusive scene are Biazik, Mel, and Natasha, all competing in the "Breakthrough Athlete – Inclusive Scene" category.
