The new film Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time has a new release date in Japanese theaters. According to the official website, the film will be released in IMAX on March 8th.

Therefore, the film will be two hours and 34 minutes long and rated G (free for all audiences) as announced here .

Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 was scheduled to premiere on January 23, but the staff reported that they were postponing the film again in consideration of the new state of emergency declared in Japan on January 8. Additionally, the film had previously been postponed due to COVID-19 . The film was originally scheduled to premiere in Japan on June 27, 2020.

Hikaru Utada returns to perform the theme song “One Last Kiss” for the film.

Finally, the first three films of the tetralogy arrived in 2007, 2009 and 2012, respectively.
