Neon Genesis Evangelion series is turning 30, and to celebrate, a special exhibition will be held in Japan. Titled ALL OF EVANGELION , the exhibition arrives in Tokyo in November and promises to delight fans with never-before-seen material and a complete journey through the franchise's entire history.

Exhibition will feature previously unseen material from the series and films

Scheduled from November 14, 2025, to January 12, 2026 , the exhibition will take place at Tokyo City View , bringing together original artwork, design documents, and never-before-seen digital content. As reported by Anime Corner , the event is supported by Khara , the Anime Tokusatsu Archive Organization , and other key partners.

ALL OF EVANGELION – 30th Anniversary Exhibition

Additionally, it will be possible to see up-close elements of the classic series from 1995 until the conclusion of the Rebuild of Evangelion . One of the highlights is the presence of digital materials from the film Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time , released in 2021 and considered the definitive conclusion of the saga.

Evangelion shaped modern anime for 30 years

Created by Hideaki Anno and produced by Gainax , Evangelion redefined the mecha genre by exploring psychological, existential, and apocalyptic themes. Although the anime began in the 1990s, its influence remains current, with new merchandise, collaborations with famous brands—like McDonald's—and adaptations for various media.

Undeniably, the franchise has spanned generations and inspired other works over the past three decades. Therefore, this exhibition represents a rare opportunity to experience this entire evolution in a single space.

Event will be exclusive to Japan, for now

However, there's one important detail: the exhibition will be held exclusively in Japan. This means fans from other countries will have to follow along via photos or videos. While there's hope for a traveling or digital version in the future, access to the event is currently restricted to Tokyo.

Ultimately, this celebration reinforces Evangelion on pop culture and its importance in the history of anime worldwide.
