The illustrations recreate the scene where Shinji loses his temper with Asuka Langley Soryu in the film " The End of Evangelion ." So those familiar with the scene will remember that it features Shinji. However, the images attempt to transform this scene into something more friendly through Disney's linework.
Even though Disney's style has this friendly element, the weight of the scene still feels tense, with Shinji being caught in this situation.
At the beginning of The End of Evangelion, Shinji goes to the hospital to visit Asuka and ends up having an anxiety attack. Therefore, the scene ended up having repercussions for showing a negative side of the protagonist and sparking outrage among many fans.
Synopsis:
The story takes place in 2015, when the world has rebuilt after half of humanity suffered a catastrophe known as the "Second Impact." Japan gains a provisional capital, Tokyo-2, and the government promotes the construction of the future capital, Tokyo-3. However, the construction of the new metropolis serves only as a facade for a fortress city with highly advanced technology to resist the offensive of the Angels, monstrous beings whose attack had already been predicted by humanity.
