The new issue of Young Ace revealed that the classic Evangelion will be getting a new spin-off starting in April. The story will be written by Yushi Kawata and illustrated by Yukito.

No plot details have been released yet. The film is scheduled for release on April 4th.

Author Yoshiyuki Sadamoto published the final chapter of Evangelion in June of last year, 18 years after the release of the first chapter in 1994.

The manga has inspired several spinoffs including Neon Genesis Evangelion: Comic Tribute, Campus Apocalypse, The Shinji Ikari Detective Diary, Angelic Days, and Neon Genesis Evangelion: The Shinji Ikari Raising Project.
