During its anime release event, Netflix confirmed Chikyuugai Shounen Shoujo ( Extra-Terrestrial Boys & Girls ) in its catalog. According to the streaming service, the anime will premiere on January 28, 2022.

Synopsis:
The story takes place in 2045, where the internet and AI are commonplace even in outer space. Using broadband, social media, and a drone they can control via their smartphones, children aided by artificial intelligence will have to overcome many challenges while awaiting help from the planet.
Mitsuo Iso (Dennou Coil, FLCL, Evangelion) directs the anime at the new Production + h studios.
