My name is Rafael Alves, known as Shinzo. I created the AnimeNew website in 2009 to offer news about anime, manga, and games directly from Japan.

The manga Fairy Tail , created by Hiro Mashima , will have new special chapters in celebration of its 20th anniversary. Weekly Shonen Magazine will publish the short story in issue 36/37, with a premiere scheduled for August 2026.

In addition to the return, the franchise is also preparing digital initiatives for fans. Episodes of the anime will be shown for free on YouTube , with new releases weekly. This initiative expands the reach of the work and keeps the audience connected to the magical universe created by Mashima.

As part of the celebrations, the author will also be holding an autograph tour in cities across Japan. The itinerary includes locations such as Hokkaido , Tokyo , and Osaka , bringing fans even closer to the work. The schedule reinforces the importance of the series over the past two decades.

Another highlight is the release of a new Erza Scarlet figure by Sega's Yumemirize brand. The item arrives in October and features the character in a special collector's outfit.

The trajectory of the Fairy Tail manga

Published between 2006 and 2017, Fairy Tail is an action and fantasy manga that follows Lucy Heartfilia, a mage who joins a guild famous for chaotic missions. Alongside Natsu and Happy, she faces powerful enemies while strengthening bonds of friendship.

Even after the end of the main series, the sequel Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest remains active. Now, the new commemorative chapters reinforce the series' lasting impact on the shonen genre.
