Yes!! Fairy Tail will return with its final season in 2018

Taking fans by surprise this Thursday, the 7th, we were delighted to receive the news that the Fairy Tail anime will get a third season, scheduled for release in 2018.
The news came hot from Hiro Mashima , the creator of the popular manga in Dhonen Jump. This morning, he announced on Twitter that the series will get a season and conclude the series once and for all. It's worth noting that there's one chapter left in the finished manga, and Mashima has already mentioned that he plans to start a new project where he wants to tell a "new story with new characters in a new world."

Unfortunately, we still don't have an exact date for the start of this new manga.

Published since 2006 in Kodansha's Shonen Magazine, the series has reached 59 volumes to date. Here in Brazil, the manga is published by JBC. The anime was produced by A-1 Pictures, yielding two seasons. Recently, the new film in the franchise, Fairy Tail – Dragon Cry, was released in theaters.
