Spoiler alert: For those who watched the first episode of the anime Oshi no Ko ( My Star ), Ai Hoshino had her life taken by a disturbed fan in the anime's story; however, some fans had a collective meltdown remembering the final episodes of the 2007 School Days
Fans compare the anime Oshi no Ko to School Days

Therefore, the profile @nenesamagatizei shared a series of images describing some similarities between “ the two masterpieces ” and it seems that several fans are agreeing with him:
- Oshi no Ko: Although it was just released, it's already very popular.
- School Days: Although fifteen years have passed since its debut, it is still very popular.

- In both franchises, a main heroine becomes pregnant, or at least claims to be pregnant (remember that in the visual novels, each of the main girls is called a "heroine").

- There is a stabbing stemming from the aforementioned pregnancy (in the case of School Days, Makoto was with Sekai in her apartment because she had told him that she was supposedly pregnant).

We can see that the only connection between the two series is a teenage pregnancy and a stabbing , however, it seems that these few coincidences were enough for fans to comment on the matter:
- And yet, the fans' reaction to the two stabbings was completely different .
- I'm surprised by this about stabbings due to pregnancy; perhaps the government thinks this will discourage teenagers from having children?
- It seems some fans are really taking this stuff seriously .
- Sorry, but School Days is anything but a masterpiece .
- I don't understand how things like this become popular, I really don't understand .
- Honestly, I think Makoto was more charismatic. I mean, he ended up sleeping with every girl he met along the way .
- Well, back in school it was an imaginary pregnancy, Sekai was lying
- I don't think Sekai was lying. Let's remember that in one scene Sekai is shown vomiting in the middle of the night at her house. What was the point of faking it when no one was looking?
