Following a social media leak related to the Tokyo Ghoul anime , fans have been on high alert in recent days. Reports suggest that the franchise is preparing a series of special announcements to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the anime adaptation's premiere, which originally aired in the summer of 2014 (July – September).

This news generated a wave of expectations among fans of this saga. After all, the second season of the series surprised fans by making changes considered very different from the original manga.

At the time of the leak, domain registrations were made to celebrate the series' 10th anniversary.

The anime adaptation by Studio Pierrot won over fans with its dark atmosphere, complex characters, and exciting action scenes during the first season. However, the series received criticism for deviating significantly from the manga's plot in the second season, as well as for hastily attempting to correct these errors in subsequent seasons.

Therefore, fans have been constantly discussing their desire for a more faithful adaptation of the original material for years. However, the leak of possible announcements to commemorate the tenth anniversary has revived hopes that the studios responsible will consider a remake or readaptation that faithfully captures the essence and depth of the original work.

Synopsis of Tokyo Ghoul

The story takes place in a world where ghouls, creatures that look human and feed on human flesh, secretly coexist with society. The protagonist, Ken Kaneki, is dragged into this dark underworld after a fateful encounter that transforms him into a half-ghoul.

Finally, although there has been no official confirmation yet about the type of announcements the studios will make, Tokyo Ghoul are speculating and showing great excitement.
