After six years, the most recent arc of 's manga , Nagatoro-san ( Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro ), revolved around a bet between Hayase Nagatoro and Naoto Hachiouji to confess their feelings. However, Senpai didn't get what he hoped for, as he came in second place in the practical exam.
After Senpai confesses that he didn't get first place in the mock exam, Nagatoro becomes visibly saddened upon realizing that Senpai won't confess his feelings. Although some thought this would put pressure on Senpai, it turns out he asks for more time to do so. Naoto indicates that he will try again in the next mock exam, which will be next winter.
Fans did not forgive the manga's author:
- Jesus, it's depressing how this poor girl is so thirsty for hands and shit. Just confess and that's it.
- Oh, for God's sake. Nagatoro should get up and leave right now. Or take him by force. He'll never pull the trigger.
- I feel like killing Senpai once and for all.
- Death to the damned editor, may he suffer many needle pricks in the scrotum as payment for these blue balls of ours.
- Nanashi is a terrible writer; he should be aware of how retarded this is.
- Screw you, Senpai, you really don't need so many tricks and theatrics to tell a girl that you like her and want to go out with her.
- He's going to confess this during Nagatoro's final fight to give him the motivation to win. It has to be this way, for my mental health.
- Someone should punch that idiot, and the author, at the same time.
Synopsis:
The story of Naoto Hachioji, an introverted second-year high school student in Japan. Naoto doesn't usually socialize and prefers to stay in his corner in the art club or library, working on his projects or studying. However, things change for Naoto when a freshman – Nagatoro – ends up reading some of the manga he was writing, after he dropped them on the library floor.
Ultimately, Nagatoro-san has had two seasons so far, the first by Telecom Animation Film and the second by OLM .
