Fast & Furious 7 can start over from scratch!

Paul Walker Fast and Furious 7's death , Universal Pictures held an emergency meeting to decide what will happen to the filming of Fast & Furious 7. According to The Wrap, the filmmakers are considering restarting production from scratch.

Since the $200 million-budgeted production was being developed under insurance, as is standard in Hollywood for fatalities, Universal wouldn't have lost much financially if it decided to reshoot the entire thing. About 50% of Furious 7 has already been shot, but much of Walker's scenes still need to be filmed.

The option of writing off Walker's character is not being considered, nor is the potential use of computer graphics to digitally recreate the actor's face, according to a source. A final decision could still take days or weeks to be made.

The film was on hiatus due to the Thanksgiving holiday in the US, and the crew was scheduled to return to work earlier this week in Atlanta. Now filming has been suspended indefinitely. Walker was reprising his role as Brian O'Conner in Furious 7, a film scheduled for release on July 11, 2014.

At the same time, Universal announced that it will donate part of the profits from the DVD and Blu-ray of Fast & Furious 6 – due out on December 10 in the US – to Walker's NGO Reach Out Worldwide .
