Fast and Furious 7 can start over from scratch!

Paul Walker Fast and Furious 7's death Universal Pictures executives met urgently to decide what will happen with the filming of Fast and Furious 7 . According to The Wrap, the filmmakers are considering starting production again from scratch.

As the production, budgeted at US$200 million, was developed under insurance, as is the practice in Hollywood in the case of eventual fatalities, Universal would not lose much, in financial terms, if it decided to film everything again. About 50% of Fast and Furious 7 has already been shot, but most of Walker's scenes still needed to be filmed.

The option of discarding Walker's character is not being considered, as is the possible use of computer graphics to digitally recreate the actor's face, says a source on the website. A definitive decision may still take days or weeks to be made.

The feature film was on hiatus due to the Thanksgiving holiday in the US and the team was supposed to return to work at the beginning of the week in Atlanta. Now filming is suspended indefinitely. Walker was reprising the role of Brian O'Conner in Furious 7, a film scheduled for release on July 11, 2014.

At the same time, Universal announced that it will donate part of the profits from the DVD and Blu-ray of Fast and Furious 6 – scheduled to be released on December 10 in the USA – to Walker's Reach Out Worldwide
