During the 'FGO Fes 2024' event, a new trailer for Fate/Extra Record was presented, revealing details of the remake's story and gameplay.
The video offers a look at the card-based combat system and dungeon exploration, as well as highlighting a battle against an initial boss, which is a Rider-class minion and a mysterious Archer-type enemy. Characters such as Rin Tohsaka , Shinji Matou , and the servant Archer also appear in the trailer. The gameplay shows the three available servants — Saber, Archer and Caster — performing chain combos.
Furthermore, the trailer suggests the presence of a room customization mechanic, as well as a new and improved user interface (UI) compared to the one shown in 2020.
Finally, Fate/Extra Record is currently in development for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5 and PC via Steam, with a release scheduled for 2025 in Japan.
