The anime Fate/Strange Fake has just received a new trailer and new promotional art, in addition to confirming its premiere date for January 2026. The series had already aired the special episode 1, titled "The Heroic Spirit Incident" , on December 31, 2024, in Japan and the rest of the world, as a preview before the official broadcast.
Direct sequel to Whispers of Dawn
The plot will follow the events of Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn , a 1-hour special released on July 2, 2023. The production, based on the original work by Ryohgo Narita and TYPE-MOON , promises to further expand the Fate universe, mixing intense action and the traditional war between Masters and Servants.
Recently, the anime confirmed the casting of voice actor Gakuto Kajiwara as Sigma , further increasing fans' anticipation.
Theme song and production team
The trailer also revealed the opening song “PROVANT” , performed by SawanoHiroyuki[nZk] in collaboration with Jean-Ken Johnny and TAKUMA . The soundtrack is by the renowned Hiroyuki Sawano , known for hits in Attack on Titan and Blue Exorcist .
The production is in the hands of the studio A-1 Pictures , directed by Shun Enokido and Takahito Sakazume . Character design and animation supervision are by Yukei Yamada , while Daisuke Ohigashi writes the script.
Thus, Fate/strange Fake arrives in 2026 as one of the most anticipated releases, combining tradition and novelties in its narrative.
