The staff and cast of the upcoming Fate/stay night anime announced at a conference in Shinagawa, Tokyo, that anime 's story will follow original game 's "Unlimited Bladeworks" arc A new promotional video was also released at the event.
The staff also announced that the anime will premiere on Japanese television on October 4th , and will be divided into two parts . The second half of the anime will premiere in April 2015. Newcomer Mashiro Ayano will perform the anime's first opening theme song " Ideal White," while musical group Kalafina will perform the first ending theme .
Unlimited Bladeworks ' film adaptation of the original game premiered in Japanese theaters in 2010, with animation by Studio DEEN . Sentai Filmworks licensed and released the film in North America in 2012.
