The staff and cast of the upcoming Fate/stay night anime announced at the conference in Shinagawa, Tokyo, that the anime will follow "Unlimited Bladeworks" arc of the original game. A new promotional video was also released at the event.
The team also announced that the anime will premiere on Japanese TV on October 4th , and will be divided into two parts . The second half of the anime will premiere in April 2015. Newcomer Mashiro Ayano will perform the anime's first opening theme song “ ideal white”, while music group Kalafina will perform the first ending theme song .
The Unlimited Bladeworks film adaptation of the original game debuted in Japanese theaters in 2010, with animation done by Studio DEEN . Sentai Filmworks licensed and released the film in North America in 2012.
